Job summary

Bupa Bateau Bay is seeking a dedicated Lifestyle & Wellbeing Coordinator to lead a vibrant, resident-led lifestyle program in a modern 101-bed aged care home on NSW’s Central Coast.

You will engage residents in meaningful activity, mentor the Wellbeing Carer team, and partner with volunteers and the community to deliver events and daily living experiences that support wellbeing and dignity.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent is essential.
• Proven experience in lifestyle, wellbeing or activities coordination in aged care or community care.
• Current First Aid certificate (including CPR) is essential.
• Confidence supporting older people’s wellbeing, including residents living with dementia.
• Strong planning and judgement skills to organise a busy activities calendar.
• Warm, professional communication with residents, families, volunteers and staff.
• Understanding of resident rights, safety and quality standards, and accurate documentation.
• Comfortable using digital systems to plan and document resident activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate a resident-led lifestyle calendar and events with care home leadership.
• Create inclusive opportunities respecting residents’ values, culture and spirituality.
• Lead and support the Wellbeing Carer team for daily activities and hospitality-style support.
• Complete lifestyle assessments and support care planning with documentation.
• Coordinate community connections including volunteers and outings, and support communications (newsletters, social posts).
• Maintain safe, compliant practice including infection control and WHS.
• Perform regular activity evaluations and contribute to audits and program improvement.
