Job summary

Bupa Bateau Bay is seeking a Lifestyle & Wellbeing Coordinator to lead a vibrant resident-led program, driving engagement, activities and wellbeing across the home. You will mentor the Wellbeing Carer team and coordinate volunteering, events, and community links to create meaningful daily living experiences.

You will conduct lifestyle assessments, ensure accurate documentation, and apply Montessori-style engagement for residents, including those with dementia, to support person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle is essential
• Proven experience in lifestyle, wellbeing or activities coordination
• Experience within aged care or community care is desirable
• Confidence supporting older people’s wellbeing, including residents living with dementia
• Strong planning and judgement skills to manage a busy activities calendar
• Warm, professional communication with residents, families, volunteers and staff
• Understanding of resident rights, safety and documentation

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate a resident-led lifestyle calendar and events
• Create inclusive opportunities that recognise each resident’s values, identity, culture and spirituality
• Lead and support the Wellbeing Carer team for daily activities and dining experiences
• Complete lifestyle assessments and contribute to care planning with accurate documentation
• Coordinate community connections including volunteers and outings
• Maintain infection control and WHS compliant practice
• Contribute to audits and continuous improvement of the lifestyle program
