Job summary

The Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick is seeking a Research Midwife to support the NADIM study, focusing on participant recruitment, informed consent, and data collection. You will work within SESLHD in partnership with the University of Sydney and Victor Chang Institute.

This temporary, part-time role offers opportunities to contribute to high-quality obstetric research, collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, and advance person-centred care for mothers and babies.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and guide others.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong computer skills including internet and email, and familiarity with health information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide participant recruitment and informed consent for the NADIM study.
• Coordinate study activities and data collection in a clinical setting.
• Collaborate with investigators, participants, and wider site teams to ensure ethical, compliant research.
• Support supervisory roles in clinical practice and research governance.
