Qualifications

What you'll be doing

As a Registered Midwife within the Midwifery in the Home Service, you will be out in the community providing safe, evidence-based, woman-centred postnatal care. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will promote positive health outcomes for women and babies through the delivery of high-quality clinical care, education and support. You will contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, safety and continuous improvement while supporting women and families. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a high level of written and verbal skills with both patients and colleagues.
• Computer literacy.
• Recent experience and competency to practise as a midwife in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Current unrestricted NSW Drivers licence.
