Job summary

Enertis Applus+ seeks an Electrical Engineer in Australia to contribute to renewable energy projects across the Pacific region. You will design, review, and support wind, solar, and BESS initiatives, ensuring compliance with local standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Australian renewable energy sector, with a focus on wind, solar, and BESS projects.
• Engineers’ Australia registration.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as ETAP / DigSilent / Homer Pro or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of Australian electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Experience delivering Owner's Engineer, Technical Due Diligence or Independent Engineering services for renewable energy projects is highly regarded.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates for wind, solar, and BESS.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with Australian standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Perform site inspections and provide technical support during development, construction and operation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new and existing projects.
• Provide consultancy services on electrical engineering aspects of renewable energy projects.
• Prepare and review plans, commissioning procedures, technical specifications and other electrical aspects of project contracts.
