Job summary

WSP Australia is seeking a Senior or Associate Electrical Engineer - BESS & Electrical Systems to join our Power & Energy team and support a growing portfolio of renewable energy projects across Australia. The role offers a hybrid working model with opportunities to contribute from development through commissioning.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with a team of specialists, lead and support OE, TDD, electrical design, and advisory services while strengthening client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered status with Engineers Australia; for Associate level, Chartered status is required.
• 6+ years of experience in the power industry with exposure to BESS and HV systems.
• Experience as Senior Engineer or Associate in a consulting engineering environment.
• Demonstrated leadership across renewable energy and BESS projects.
• Strong understanding of OE, TDD, design, and advisory engagements.
• Commercial awareness with business development experience.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Collaborative, mentoring technical leader contributing to team success.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support delivery of BESS and electrical engineering solutions for renewable energy projects across Australia.
• Drive OE, TDD, electrical design, and advisory services.
• Contribute to proposals and tenders to support win rates.
• Act as Project Lead across renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects.
• Support business planning, financial performance, and growth within Renewables team.
