Job summary

Apollo Care is seeking a proactive Workforce Officer to coordinate staff rosters across clinical and support services in a largely work-from-home role based in Australia. You will start by rostering for one facility, with opportunities to support additional sites as the role evolves, including occasional site travel with expenses covered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in rostering or workforce planning within healthcare is required.
• Experience using electronic rostering and workforce management systems.
• Sound knowledge of modern awards, enterprise agreements and workforce compliance.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and publish accurate staff rosters in consultation with managers.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned leave, shift replacements and roster changes.
• Liaise with employees to fill vacant shifts while ensuring compliance with award conditions and policies.
• Monitor staffing levels to support safe, efficient service delivery.
• Provide rostering support to one facility, with potential to assist additional sites.
• Maintain accurate workforce records and ensure roster data is current and reliable.
• Identify opportunities to improve rostering processes and contribute to service improvement.
• Build positive working relationships with managers and staff to support workforce planning.
