Job summary

Amplar Health, part of the Medibank Group, is expanding its team with permanent Virtual Triage Nurse roles across Australia. You will assess and triage a wide range of health concerns by phone, applying clinical judgement to advise and direct care pathways.

We seek a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience and current AHPRA registration. Remote, flexible shifts include weekends and nights; full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Division 1) with a minimum of 3 years full-time clinical experience within the last 5 years (equivalent to 5100 hours total).
• Current AHPRA registration with no notations.
• Experience in A&E and Triage, Paediatrics, Community Care, or Acute Medical/Surgical.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Comfortable using computers, digital systems and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for weekend and night shifts.
• Experience in virtual communication (video/audio conferencing, chat).
• Previous call centre or customer service experience.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage a diverse range of health concerns over the phone using clinical judgement to identify risk and provide health advice.
• Determine appropriate next steps in care and connect callers with the right healthcare services when further assessment is required.
• Work in a virtual environment with emphasis on patient-centred care.
