Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Knowledge Specialist for a 6-month fixed-term contract, based in Australia. You will manage the knowledge base, craft and refine technical documentation, and align content with contractual and operational needs.

You’ll work with Development Specialists and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and accessibility of knowledge assets. Our agile environment supports flexible work arrangements; candidates may work from home where possible, with office collaboration when suitable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in technical writing or knowledge management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of outsourced IT services and infrastructure project requirements.
• Specialist understanding of technical writing and knowledge management techniques and tools.
• Strong writing and communication skills for varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the internal knowledge base for a specific functional area.
• Write, edit and refine technical documentation including manuals and online help.
• Review contributions from development specialists to ensure consistency.
• Analyze program outlines and technical information to develop manuals and resources.
• Ensure contractual support and documentation requirements are met.
• Improve content templates, research methods and authoring style guides.
