Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Remote Support Engineer to join the RSS team in a hybrid environment, based in Hawthorn, Melbourne. You will provide technical support across Rockwell hardware and software portfolios, resolving complex automation challenges for customers across various industries.

You will report to the Team Lead, Remote Support Services, and collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Quality teams to deliver high-quality support and knowledge-sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with industrial automation products or systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers via phone, chat, and electronic channels.
• Troubleshoot Rockwell Automation hardware/software: controllers, HMI, networks, and related tech.
• Analyze, reproduce, and investigate complex technical issues with available tools and environments.
• Document troubleshooting activities and resolutions in service tickets with clear customer communication.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and other teams to resolve product issues.
• Contribute to Knowledge-Centered Service by creating and maintaining technical articles.
