Job summary

Jobgether in Australia is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Security to lead a new, AI-first security program in a fully remote environment. You will combine hands-on security with people management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to raise security standards and secure the development lifecycle.

You will guide IT and compliance professionals, report to senior leadership, and drive validation across engineering, security, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of security experience with hands-on application security.
• Led or matured an application security program including reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
• Strong knowledge of secure software design and OWASP principles.
• Ability to read code, evaluate web/API architectures, and remediate with engineers.
• Minimum 2 years of people management, providing direction and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the application security roadmap, including vulnerability management and remediation.
• Conduct hands-on reviews, triage findings, and scale security processes across teams.
• Embed secure development practices across the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design an AI-first security strategy with validated autonomous testing and oversight.
• Partner with engineering to strengthen development while avoiding bottlenecks.
• Oversee third-party assessments and ensure supplier security standards.
