Job summary

NRI Australia & New Zealand is seeking a strategic enablement expert at the intersection of AI innovation, security, and compliance. You’ll partner with business, innovation, and product teams to drive secure AI adoption while managing risk.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in information security, governance, risk or compliance, plus familiarity with GDPR/APPs and AI governance frameworks. This is a hands-on IC role with strong collaboration and adaptability.

Qualifications

• Good practical experience in information security, governance, risk, or compliance.
• Good understanding of AI/ML concepts and associated risks.
• Hands-on specialist with ~5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with data protection and privacy principles (e.g., GDPR, APPs).
• Awareness of AI governance frameworks (ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF).

Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic, risk-proportionate guidance to enable AI initiatives.
• Identify and manage AI-related security risks (data usage, model risks, third-party tools).
• Conduct risk and control assessments for new AI technologies and initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with privacy, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
• Support compliance with standards including ISO 42001, SOC2, and emerging AI regulations.
• Monitor AI security, privacy, and regulatory developments and evolve governance practices.
• Partner with business units, IT, Legal, and leadership to drive secure AI adoption.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and metrics for governance forums.
• Lead responses to regulatory, audit, and third-party reviews.
• Contribute to broader information security, risk, compliance initiatives.
• Drive innovation and strategic initiatives from a governance lens.
