Job summary

Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer based in Australia. You will design, build, and evolve scalable software powering customer engagement and marketing automation, with a strong emphasis on distributed architectures and cloud-native delivery.

You will mentor engineers, own architectural decisions, and collaborate across teams in a fully remote environment that values continuous learning and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of professional software development experience with strong OO programming
• Proficient in Java and at least one additional language (preferably C#)
• Experience with distributed systems, messaging, microservices, and event-driven design
• Strong design skills and understanding of scalable architectures and modern engineering principles
• Hands-on cloud experience with AWS and cloud-native development
• DevOps and IaC experience using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and evaluating generated output

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions using OO principles
• Drive architectural improvements and modernize legacy applications
• Integrate AI-assisted coding and review assistants into workflows
• Own messaging and event infrastructure using Kafka and related tech
• Develop and support AWS-based cloud infrastructure (Fargate, EC2, RDS, Elasticsearch)
• Improve deployment and operational practices with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Collaborate across teams to shape technical roadmaps and tooling
• Mentor and guide engineers to improve skills and delivery quality
• Maintain technical docs and architecture decisions
