Jobgether is seeking an Engineering Manager for Automation Intelligence based in Australia. You will lead a high-impact engineering team building an AI-powered detection platform, guiding from beta to GA and commercial launch.

Qualifications

• Engineering management experience: 3+ years leading software engineers, delivering products to launch.
• Strong technical foundation: 8+ years software engineering, architectural judgment.
• Domain expertise: bot detection, fraud prevention, web security, or high-volume API services.
• Quality-driven engineering: tests, metrics, regression testing, monitoring, and SLOs."
• Hands-on AI coding experience: familiarity with AI coding agents in workflows.
• Product & cross-functional leadership: collaboration with product, researchers, and customer teams.
• Excellent communication and decision-making: documenting decisions for technical/non-technical stakeholders.
• Team building & autonomy: building high-performing teams with clear ownership.
• Preferred bot detection or security experience: bot management, WAFs, or CDNs.
• Preferred AI agent knowledge: agent ecosystems and verified-agent protocols.
• Preferred browser & automation expertise: headless browsers and automation techniques.
• Preferred API & platform experience: API-first products, SDKs, MCP or similar interfaces.
• Preferred organizational experience: creating/isolating engineering teams within an org.
• Preferred SaaS enterprise environment: high-growth, enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering roadmap from beta to GA and commercial launch.
• Define service reliability targets and performance expectations (SLOs).
• Establish detection quality framework with datasets, tests, and monitoring.
• Guide detection capabilities for AI agents, automation and new frameworks.
• Manage staged rollouts with feature flags and rollback procedures.
• Lead and develop a small team of senior engineers.
• Establish engineering standards, code reviews, and performance benchmarks.
• Foster cross-team collaboration to reduce dependencies.
• Lead AI-native engineering practices with agent-first development.
• Evaluate AI-assisted development and document lessons learned.
• Ensure API interfaces follow contract-first approach with OpenAPI specs.
