Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Bid & Proposal professional to oversee end-to-end pursuits across multiple markets in Australia. The role offers hybrid work and exposure to large, complex submissions managed with cross-functional teams.

You will drive collaboration with Capture Managers and SMEs, translating technical content into compelling client-focused messaging while maintaining editorial quality and brand alignment. Experience in engineering or professional services is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in proposal or bid management in engineering, consultancy, construction or professional services environments.
• Ability to lead end-to-end proposal development and win strategies, translate technical content into compelling messaging.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to engage clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Persuasive proposal writing and editing with a strategic mindset to differentiate submissions.
• Proficient with Adobe and the full Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Drive the coordination and management of pursuits across the bid lifecycle—from pre-positioning to tender debriefs—to deliver high-quality submissions.
• Partner with Capture Managers, senior stakeholders and technical SMEs to lead end-to-end proposal development and winning strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple bids under tight timeframes with strong time management and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure submissions reflect high editorial quality, client focus and alignment with brand standards.
• Collaborate across teams, share knowledge, leverage AI tools for efficiency, and elevate pursuit capabilities.
