Job summary

SIRROM is seeking experienced Head Chefs to lead our remote workforce village catering teams in Mackay & Rockhampton regions. You will manage breakfast to dinner, ensuring high-quality food, presentation, and service across rosters. Strong leadership and cost-control skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience on remote mine-site villages or workforce camps.
• Catering for 300–900 residents with bulk and high-standard presentation.
• Hands-on Head Chef capable of leading and delivering high-quality service.
• Experience in remote locations and cyclic rosters is desirable.
• Ability to mentor kitchen staff and maintain hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide breakfast, crib lunch, desserts or dinner on rotating rosters.
• Ensure presentation, service and meals meet Sirrom standards.
• Work within budgeted food costs and minimise wastage.
• Prepare meals per menu and Sirrom guidelines for client requirements.
• Maintain strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
