Job summary

Alpha National Group is seeking an experienced Executive Chef for the Wellcamp Regional Accommodation Centre, Toowoomba. You will lead a high‑performing kitchen team, oversee production for hundreds of guests daily, and ensure safety, quality, and guest satisfaction in remote camp environments.

The role requires delivering meals to 500–800 guests, developing seasonal menus, and managing costs while maintaining compliance with HACCP and WHS standards. Immediate start on a full‑time DIDO roster.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality Management (or equivalent).
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Experience as an Executive/Head/Senior Chef in FIFO, DIDO or remote accommodation environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams of up to 20.
• Experience delivering high‑volume services (up to 800 meals per service).
• Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems and WHS.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of up to 20 across kitchen and front of house.
• Plan, prepare and oversee production of meals for 500–800 guests daily.
• Ensure all food meets company, client and regulatory standards.
• Develop seasonal menus and cost‑effective meal plans.
• Manage purchasing, stock control, inventory, and supplier relationships.
• Monitor food costs, wastage, and kitchen budgets.
• Maintain HACCP, WHS and environmental compliance.
• Deliver staff training and performance development.
