Job summary

Fugro is seeking an IT Support Engineer for Remote Operations & Connectivity to support vessels and APAC operations from Perth. You will work with ROC and global teams on deployments, maintenance and incident response, ensuring stable connectivity and high reliability for remote operations.

The role involves hands-on support, documentation, and collaboration across sites, with travel to client locations as needed and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in IT, Engineering or related field.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, switching, firewalls).
• Experience in L2 IT/OT support in operational or remote sites.
• Exposure to network troubleshooting, log analysis, runbooks and escalation processes.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to site for system builds and vessel mobilization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on L1/L2 IT/OT support for Remote Operations Centre.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Act as first-point contact for applications and guidance for Remote Operations Center.
• Perform scheduled maintenance: patches, updates, backups, audits.
• Collaborate with global teams to deploy solutions and improve operations.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and system diagrams.
