Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Information Security Manager to lead and advance the organization's cybersecurity program in a fully remote setting. You will drive strategy, governance, and incident response across a distributed team.

The role requires 7+ years in information security with at least 3 in management, a strong grasp of ISO 27001/NIST, and relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC). Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s in CS or Info Security is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years in information security with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Proven enterprise security program development and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the information security strategy, policies and procedures.
• Oversee cybersecurity operations including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Lead and mentor a remote cybersecurity team.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and contractual security requirements.
• Manage security budgets and vendor relationships for cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate risks.
• Promote security awareness and best practices across the organization.
