Placements24 is seeking an experienced Information Security Lead to spearhead security initiatives and guide a distributed team. This remote role focuses on defining security roadmaps and implementing advanced measures to protect critical assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Strong understanding of threat intelligence, incident response, and risk management methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the information security team, providing technical direction and fostering professional development.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee the management of security technologies, including firewalls, SIEM, DLP, and endpoint protection.
• Drive incident response efforts, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security breaches.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability management programs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
