Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Information Security Analyst to strengthen cybersecurity defenses. This fully remote role allows you to work from home while monitoring security alerts, analyzing threats, and assisting in incident response to protect digital assets.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity (or equivalent), 2–4 years in information security, and familiarity with SIEM tools and network security concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, network security concepts, and common cybersecurity threats.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for a remote role.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from various security tools, identifying potential threats.
• Investigate and analyze security incidents, providing timely reports and recommendations.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls and technologies.
• Support the development and updating of security policies and procedures.
• Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation techniques.
