Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Front and Back end) based in Australia to contribute across frontend and back-end development in cloud environments.

You will work with Java, JavaScript, Python, and modern web frameworks, building reliable applications and deployment automation. The role covers both frontend and backend work, containerization with Kubernetes and Docker, and deployment across AWS/Azure/OpenStack/OpenShift, in an Agile team.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Pro development experience with Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Strong knowledge of core web tech: HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript.
• Hands-on with frontend framework/library: React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with Redux, NgRx, or Vuex.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Containerd or similar.
• Experience deploying to AWS, Azure, OpenStack, or OpenShift.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Agile development experience; familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong communication and teamwork across technical groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using Java, JavaScript, Python, or related technologies.
• Build frontend apps with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+.
• Develop UIs using React, Angular, or Vue.js with state management like Redux/NgRx/Vuex.
• Contribute to backend development with Java, Python, C#, .NET.
• Design, deploy, and maintain containerized apps using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Containerd.
• Support deployment across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, OpenShift).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, deployment workflows, and configuration tools.
• Participate in Agile practices; use JIRA/Confluence.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to design solutions and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain clear technical communication and documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Contribute to on-time project delivery through planning and time management.
