Job summary

HireRight is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support high-volume production systems in a hybrid cloud environment. You will help maintain reliability, availability, and performance of our production platform while supporting weekly software releases and driving continuous improvements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Linux, Kubernetes, Java platforms, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and automation experience. This role may be fully remote in middle and eastern Australia, collaborating with

Qualifications

Hands-on Linux administration for enterprise production.
Strong DevOps background with focus on reliability, availability and performance.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
Proficiency with container orchestration and cloud technologies.
Excellent communication across globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

Support and administer production systems across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring platform availability, performance, and reliability.
Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment automation using Git, Jenkins, Maven, and related DevOps tools.
Administer Kubernetes environments (preferably EKS and AKS), including container orchestration, ingress controllers, load balancing, and networking.
Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Bash, Python, Terraform, Ansible, and SaltStack.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and support Linux-based Java application environments, including Tomcat, RabbitMQ, Oracle (with DBA support), and observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and Grafana.
