Job summary

Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers (WesCEF) is seeking a Payroll professional to deliver accurate end-to-end payroll across the WesCEF division, partnering with HR and leaders to support business success.

You will manage weekly and monthly payroll, respond to payroll and time-management inquiries, complete month-end activities, and contribute to continuous improvement while safeguarding data confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience with end-to-end payroll in medium to large organisations.
• Experience using Chris21 payroll platform.
• Knowledge of relevant employment and statutory legislation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving approach.
• Collaborative mindset supporting team success.
• Energetic, self-motivated and resilient.
• Certification is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely weekly and monthly payroll processing.
• Provide responsive support for payroll/time management inquiries via the ticketing system.
• Complete month-end payroll activities, including PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and third-party payments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes, systems and service delivery.
• Interpret awards and agreements while maintaining payroll procedures and documentation.
• Maintain accurate HR and payroll data, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
• Conduct payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with employees, leaders, HR colleagues and external partners to deliver outcomes.
• Support ongoing improvement of payroll practices and service delivery.
