Job summary

Megaport is seeking a DIOPS Deployment Engineer to hands-on provision and deliver servers to customers. You will operate within the DIOPS team, ensure server configuration, testing and delivery are completed within agreed timelines, and maintain precise delivery records.

Ideal candidates will be fast, precise, and process-driven, with Linux admin skills, IPMI/BMC access, RAID, and data center experience. Remote-first role with flexible collaboration and strong escalation discipline.

Qualifications

• Advanced English communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with server hardware and data center operations.
• Linux system administration; familiarity with Windows Server environments.
• RAID technologies and storage fundamentals.
• IPMI/BMC out-of-band management.
• Basic networking knowledge: IP addressing, VLANs, connectivity troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provision and deliver servers to customers within the delivery timeframes.
• Execute the full provisioning workflow: hardware configuration and validation, firmware updates, RAID setup, OS installation (Linux and Windows Server), network configuration, and IPMI/BMC access setup.
• Run pre-delivery checks and validation to ensure servers are fully functional.
• Coordinate with data center teams and remote hands for tasks like racking and cabling.
• Prioritize daily work according to agreed delivery windows and guidance from the DIOPS Tech Lead.
• Track order status and deadlines, escalating risks to avoid missed windows.
• Escalate complex issues to the Regional Manager as needed.
• Follow standardized workflows and contribute to improvements in runbooks and processes.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and document non-standard steps for future reference.
