Job summary

Megaport in Brisbane is seeking a DIOPS Deployment Engineer to provision and deliver servers to customers, reporting to the Regional Manager and delivering end-to-end within the agreed timeframe.

You will execute the full provisioning workflow, including hardware configuration, firmware updates, RAID, OS installations (Linux and Windows Server), network setup, and IPMI/BMC access, while maintaining accurate delivery records and collaborating with data center teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced English communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with server hardware and data center operations.
• Linux system administration; familiarity with Windows Server environments.
• RAID technologies and storage fundamentals.
• IPMI/BMC out-of-band management familiarity.
• Basic networking knowledge: IP addressing, VLANs, troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple orders against deadlines with speed and accuracy.
• Disciplined in following documented processes and keeping records accurate.

Responsibilities

• Provision and deliver servers within the delivery timeframes.
• Execute provisioning workflow: hardware configuration and validation, firmware updates, RAID setup, OS installation, network configuration, IPMI/BMC access setup.
• Run pre-delivery checks to ensure every server is handed off to the customer fully functional and to standard.
• Coordinate with data center teams for physical tasks such as racking, cabling, and component swaps.
• Prioritize daily work per delivery windows and direction from the DIOPS Tech Lead.
