Lever, Inc. is seeking a skilled English-to-French linguist and copy editor for long-term freelance work across product, marketing, UI, and support content. The role blends translation, copy-editing, and MT post-editing to ensure accurate, natural localization for an international audience.

You will handle a workload of 5,000+ words per week, use a client-specific CAT tool, and contribute to high-visibility localization projects with ongoing training and support provided.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native French with strong English.
• 2+ years translation with degree, or 5+ years without a degree.
• Experience translating marketing, UI, product, informational, and support content.
• Experience with CAT tools and localization workflows.
• Strong copy-editing and attention to linguistic detail.

Responsabilités

• Translate English content into clear, accurate, natural French across marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and legal materials.
• Copy-edit and refine French content for accuracy, consistency, readability, tone, and cultural relevance.
• Perform machine translation post-editing while maintaining high-quality localization standards.
• Manage a workload of 5,000+ words per week and meet deadlines.
• Use CAT tools and client workflows to manage translation and editing tasks effectively.
• Review content to identify terminology, grammar, style, and formatting issues.
• Communicate proactively about assignments, deadlines, feedback, and revisions.
• Incorporate feedback to maintain consistency across projects.
