HumanAbility is seeking a skilled Communications Coordinator to support the creation and delivery of clear, concise and compelling communications about our work. The role is full-time, funded until mid-2028, and can be located anywhere in Australia with travel for meetings and events.

You will work with the Senior Communications Advisor to plan, draft and publish content across our website, newsletters, events and social media, and coordinate contractors such as designers and videographers.

Formación

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism or similar or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Experience in a Communications team, preferably within not-for-profit or government sector.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in content management systems and social media platforms (e.g., Monday.com or similar).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Identify, plan and create content for HumanAbility’s communications channels, including social, digital and newsletters.
• Translate complex policy content into plain English for target audiences.
• Draft communication materials with clarity, accuracy and consistency.
• Ensure content is accessible and appropriate for diverse audiences.
• Work closely with other teams to align communications across sectors.
• Assist in development or commissioning multimedia content (videos/graphics).
• Observe and follow work health and safety policies.
