UnitingCare Queensland in Longreach is seeking a Child and Family Remote Support Worker to deliver mobile early childhood development and family support through our Remote Area Families Service (RAFS). Based in Longreach, you’ll travel to rural communities to strengthen family wellbeing and support children’s learning and development.

Qualifications

• Hold a tertiary qualification, or enrolled in Children's Services, Community Services, Counselling or a related discipline.
• Experience working with children, families and communities in early childhood education or community services.
• Strong understanding of child development and family support practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsabilités

• Support children and families to achieve positive outcomes.
• Deliver early childhood development and family support programs; facilitate workshops, playgroups and education activities.
• Build relationships with families, community organisations and First Nations communities.
• Travel throughout regional and remote Queensland as part of mobile service delivery.
• Work with a supportive team that values innovation, collaboration and continuous learning.
