Job summary

Alignerr is seeking CFD engineers and aerodynamicists to craft concise, self-contained AI training tasks. You will design challenges with clear problem statements, deterministic checkers, and reference solutions, drawn from practical CFD practice with OpenFOAM.

You’ll work remotely on an hourly contract, 10–40 hours per week, collaborating asynchronously to ensure physical accuracy and rigorous scoring for AI reasoning about aerodynamics.

Qualifications

• Hands-on OpenFOAM experience required.
• Strong foundation in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics and heat transfer.
• Ability to translate domain knowledge into precise, solvable tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design compact CFD and aerodynamics tasks that test AI model reasoning.
• Write clear, unambiguous problem statements (boundary conditions, mesh quality, flow regime, setup).
• Develop deterministic scoring checkers for automatic evaluation.
• Provide verified reference solutions that prove solvability and scoring accuracy.
• Review and iterate tasks for physical accuracy, clarity and appropriate difficulty.
• Leverage OpenFOAM knowledge to ground tasks in real practice.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your schedule.
