Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Mechanical Engineering AI Trainer to design complex problems and author expert solutions, auditing AI reasoning across fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and structural mechanics. This is a remote, hourly contract role with flexible hours (10–40 per week) and no prior AI experience required.

You will evaluate AI outputs, ensure accuracy and safety, and contribute to benchmarking using ASME/ISO standards where relevant. Master’s or PhD preferred, with CAD/CAE tools experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong foundations in solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM.
• Excellent written communication of complex concepts.
• Detail-oriented with precise mathematical reasoning.
• No AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design Advanced Engineering Problems — Create challenging, multi-domain problems spanning FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, fluid mechanics, and material science to test AI performance.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as gold standards for AI learning.
• Audit AI-Generated Technical Content — Review CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, and material specifications for safety and compliance.
• Refine AI Reasoning — Document errors and provide feedback to improve model quality.
