Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Electrical Engineering Expert to stress-test AI models with advanced EE problems, evaluate reasoning gaps, and contribute to next-generation engineering-aware AI. This fully remote, hourly contract role offers flexible scheduling for 10–40 hours per week.

You will design intricate problems across EE domains, author benchmark solutions, and audit AI outputs for correctness and safety, enabling progress in embedded systems, VLSI, and telecommunication research.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Deep knowledge in one or more core EE domains: VLSI, control systems, signal processing, power electronics, or telecommunications.
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing.
• Exceptionally detail-oriented — you spot errors in equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation.
• No prior AI experience required — your engineering expertise is what matters.

Responsibilities

• Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems spanning circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to probe the limits of AI performance.
• Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as the benchmark for AI learning and evaluation.
• Audit AI Outputs — Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.).
• Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify flawed logic in AI responses and provide structured, actionable feedback to improve how models think through engineering challenges.
• Cover Cutting-Edge Domains — Work across embedded systems, VLSI, telecommunications, power electronics, robotics, and engineering simulations.
