ShiftCare is a fast-growing SaaS scale-up serving Australian, American & Canadian disability support providers, in-home carers, and allied health professionals. We are seeking a Software Engineer – Integrations (remote) to design and build scalable integrations, APIs, and services in a mature Agile/DevOps environment.

Reporting to the Technical Lead, you will work cross‑functionally to deliver high-quality features, participate in architecture discussions, and optimize performance across backend

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience in Agile teams and self-starter mindset.
• Strong background in APIs, microservices, and software architecture.
• DevOps experience with build, deployment, and release automation.
• Experience with enterprise cloud applications and relational databases.
• Ability to handle large data sets and complex data structures.
• Full stack development enthusiasm across frontend and backend.

Responsibilities

• Architect elegant, maintainable, testable solutions to complex problems.
• Integrate with third‑party platforms and services.
• Follow project management guidelines and security practices.
• Address performance bottlenecks in backend and frontend infrastructure.
• Contribute to product roadmap discussions.
• Support critical technology incidents as needed.
• Contribute to architecture, scalability, security initiatives.
