Job summary

GitLab in Australia (remote) seeks a strategic Business Development Representative to initiate outreach to Enterprise and Mid-Market accounts, collaborating with Field and Digital Marketing teams. You will drive qualified meetings and pipeline for the Sales organization.

You’ll receive extensive onboarding and training to master DevOps and GitLab knowledge, with opportunities to advance to Account Executive. This role supports regional events and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in English; other Asian languages a plus.
• Positive and energetic phone skills with strong writing abilities.
• Self-starter with a track record of credible achievements.
• Knowledge of business processes, roles, and organizational structure.
• Experience developing Enterprise and Mid-Market business in Australia.
• Persistence in meeting or exceeding targets through follow-up and objection handling.
• Interest in GitLab and the DevOps space.
• Proficiency with Salesforce and LinkedIn; familiarity with outreach tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound lead flow and outbound prospecting initiatives.
• Conduct high-level discovery in target accounts.
• Meet or exceed BDR-sourced SAO targets.
• Collaborate with teammates to develop targeted lists and messaging.
• Research accounts to identify key players and develop opportunities.
• Execute touches via call, email, social, etc. using Outreach.io.
• Track and report activities in Salesforce.
• Document processes in GitLab handbook and update as needed.
