Job summary

Cabonne Council is seeking an Out of School Hours Care Lead Educator on a casual basis to oversee day-to-day service operations and ensure regulatory compliance. You will lead engaging programs for primary school children and supervise educators and volunteers in a child-safe environment.

You will work with the Children’s Services team to uphold child safety, maintain records, and support continuous improvement while building strong partnerships with families and local schools.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Foundations of Child Safety and Advanced Child Safety Training (courses 1-4 completed through Geccko)
• Criminal History Check is required and must be current.

Responsibilities

• Accept the role of Responsible Person and oversee daily service operations.
• Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, service policies and procedures.
• Develop, implement and reflect on educational programs aligned with My Time, Our Place.
• Supervise and support OOSHC Educators and volunteers.
• Maintain safe educator–child ratios and a stimulating environment.
• Build relationships with children, families, schools and stakeholders.
• Maintain records, documentation and displays as required.
• Participate in service assessment, rating and continuous improvement.
