Job summary

Cabonne Council is seeking an Out of School Hours Care Lead Educator (casual relief) to oversee services across the Cabonne area. You will be the Responsible Person delivering high-quality programs for primary school children, and you will supervise staff and volunteers while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work within a Child Safe Organisation framework, build partnerships with families and schools, and contribute to continuous improvement within the council’s OOSHC

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience coordinating educators and leading a small team.
• Experience delivering age-appropriate OOSHC programs.
• Ability to maintain safe educator-to-child ratios and a secure environment.
• Strong documentation and reporting practices.

Responsibilities

• Accept the role of Responsible Person and oversee daily service operations
• Ensure compliance with NQF and service policies
• Develop and reflect on educational programs aligned with My Time, Our Place
• Supervise and support OOSHC educators and volunteers
• Maintain safe educator-to-child ratios and a stimulating environment
• Build relationships with children, families, schools and stakeholders
• Maintain records and displays as required
• Participate in service assessment and continuous improvement
• Work safely per WHS policies
• Uphold child-safe behaviours and report concerns promptly
