Job summary

Bega Cheese Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Reliability Team at the Wetherill Park site in Sydney. This hands-on role focuses on packaging equipment strategy and continuous improvement, delivering capital and NPD projects with safety and cost controls.

Reporting to the site leader, you will drive data-driven improvements, mentor staff, and support HACCP and environmental plans while collaborating with diverse teams across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Solid analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies & tools.
• Demonstrated experience in Project & change management.
• Ability to work with a diverse range of team members and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the implementation of site engineering, capital, and NPD projects with safety, cost, quality and benefits.
• Identify and provide solutions for process improvement opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Mentor and provide technical expertise to maintenance and production staff.
• Lead and support continuous improvement and ad-hoc projects.
• Support and assist in the development of HACCP, Safety, and Environmental plans.
