Job summary

Nestlé Wahgunyah in Victoria is seeking a Packaging Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for packaging and processing equipment across the manufacturing line. The role aims to maximize production while minimising cost, and to develop operator capability through targeted training.

Based in Wahgunyah, you will drive productivity improvements using DMAIC/SMED, participate in TPM FI initiatives, and collaborate with maintenance, quality, and R&D teams to test new equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Food Industry / Manufacturing or related engineering field.
• Operative experience in packaging, preferably cereals.
• Strong understanding of process development and manufacturing concepts.
• Familiarity with TPM/ FI and continuous improvement tools.
• Ability to lead technical training for factory personnel.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity of existing packaging systems using DMAIC/ SMED.
• Develop system capacity and conduct capability studies for optimal production rates.
• Participate in the Focused Improvement pillar for TPM.
• Improve system reliability and product quality with cross-functional teams.
• Serve as R&D liaison for testing and evaluating new equipment/products.
• Provide operating parameters and ranges for packaging processes.
