Job summary

A leading lithium minerals producer located in Greenbushes, Western Australia, seeks a Reliability Engineer for electrical reliability support in fixed plant maintenance. The role involves leading defect investigations, developing maintenance strategies, and ensuring compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with SCADA systems, collaborative skills, and 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities

• Provide electrical reliability engineering support.
• Lead electrical defect elimination investigations.
• Develop new and existing maintenance strategies.
• Coordinate with OT, electrical projects and process control engineers.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring within the maintenance team.
• Provide troubleshooting and mentoring support to the maintenance team and coordinate input from engineering specialists.

Job description

Overview

The purpose of this role is to provide electrical reliability engineering support to the fixed plant maintenance department. The successful candidate will provide specialized engineering expertise in the areas of compliance, defect elimination, process control improvements and condition monitoring.

Duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:

• Development of new and existing maintenance strategies and tactics, including plant operational readiness input.
• Be accountable for the electrical asset condition monitoring program, including input into the asset health program.
• Lead electrical defect elimination investigations and effectively manage the assigned electrical based failure’s/defects, including defect assessment/prioritization, RCA facilitation, action assignment and change management.
• Drive plant performance from an electrical aspect, linking reliability with in-house process control engineers, the Operational Technology team and the Electrical Projects team.
• Be the focal point for electrical technical guidance within the fixed plant maintenance support team, providing input into key decisions on asset condition, strategy, process control and project scoping.
• Provide the fixed plant maintenance department with engineering troubleshooting & mentoring support either directly or by coordinating the input of engineering specialists.

About the Candidate:

• 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• A collaborative team player, who openly supports the groups reliability initiatives and systems of work.
• Experience with Citect/SCADA systems.
• Previous experience in the application of reliability methods and techniques gained within relevant industry, including RCA facilitation, RCM application and FMEA/FMECA development.
• Knowledge and understanding of Australian Electrical & instrumentation installation Standards, plus industrial safety, engineering standards and codes.
• Proficient use of CMMS systems such as SAP, AX or other similar software.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with other members of the reliability team and across other departments within the business.
