Job summary

Talison Lithium in Greenbushes, WA, is seeking a Process Control Engineer to join the Maintenance team. You will provide process control support across plant operations, aiding safe, stable and efficient performance, and work with cross-functional teams on troubleshooting and improvements.

Key qualifications include a tertiary degree in automation or related field and at least 3 years in process control, with PLC programming, SCADA/DCS and instrumentation experience.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Industrial Automation, Control Systems, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a process control role within a processing plant or industrial environment.
• Experience with PLC programming, SCADA/DCS systems and field instrumentation.
• Strong understanding of process control principles, troubleshooting and system optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; and
• Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• provide day-to-day process control support across plant operations, including troubleshooting and fault finding;
• assist with the implementation, testing and commissioning of control system improvements;
• support optimisation of plant control strategies to improve performance and reliability;
• maintain control system documentation and ensure compliance with Management of Change (MOC) processes;
• assist with plant start-ups, shutdowns and commissioning activities; and
• collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Metallurgy and IST teams to support plant performance and improvement initiatives.

About the Role

Reporting to the Lead Process Control Engineer, we are seeking a Process Control Engineer to join our Maintenance team at Greenbushes.

The successful candidate will provide process control support across plant operations, helping to maintain safe, stable, and efficient plant performance. This role offers the opportunity to work across operational support, optimisation, and improvement projects, contributing to the ongoing reliability and performance of our processing facilities. Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, Metallurgy, and IST teams, you will play a key role in troubleshooting, commissioning, and enhancing plant control systems while ensuring all modifications comply with site standards and Management of Change (MOC) requirements.
