Job summary

Profectus is seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to support a large-scale transformation for an Australian Government agency. The role coordinates delivery across multiple release trains, business workstreams and technology teams, working with the Solution Train Engineer and program leadership.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years leading large-scale government transformation programs.
• Experience operating in SAFe or comparable scaled agile delivery environments.
• Proven experience in business design and systems implementation.
• Experience in highly regulated government environments with governance and assurance requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management capability at executive and senior executive level.
• Experience facilitating Program Increment planning and large-scale planning events.
• Demonstrated understanding of program and portfolio management disciplines.
• SAFe Release Train Engineer or Solution Train Engineer certification.
• Agile, Scrum, Lean or equivalent certification.
• Program management qualifications such as MSP, PRINCE2 or PMBOK.
• Change management certification such as Prosci or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate delivery of a large-scale program operating under SAFe.
• Work alongside the Solution Train Engineer to align release trains and manage cross-program dependencies.
• Facilitate Program Increment planning and other large-scale planning events.
• Manage cross-stream dependencies, risks, issues and delivery blockers across multidisciplinary teams.
• Support integrated planning and delivery coordination across multiple releases and business workstreams.
• Track and report delivery progress, metrics and outcomes to program leadership and governance forums.
• Keep business design, operational change and technology delivery aligned through to implementation.
• Support compliance with government governance, assurance and enterprise architecture requirements.
• Engage stakeholders across business, operational and ICT areas, including at executive and senior executive level.
• Identify and apply process improvements across release trains and delivery teams.

Required Experience

• Proven experience in business design and systems implementation
• Experience working within highly regulated government environments, including government governance and assurance requirements
• Strong stakeholder management capability at executive and senior executive level
• Experience facilitating Program Increment planning and large-scale planning events
• Demonstrated understanding of program and portfolio management disciplines
