Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking a Release Train Engineer to lead the planning and delivery of complex ICT projects, facilitating Scaled Agile delivery and coordinating ART roadmaps and backlogs with Product Managers and Scrum Masters.

You will oversee architecture, cyber and security deliverables while coaching teams in Agile ways of working, and you will work in a hybrid role with a 12-month contract plus extension options.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years’ experience delivering complex ICT projects, including digital cloud solutions, using Scaled Agile.
• Strong project management and governance experience within Federal or State Government environments.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and recognised project management or SAFe Agile qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scaled Agile ceremonies including PI Planning and PI retrospectives.
• Manage the Release Train backlog and ART roadmap with Product Managers and Scrum Masters.
• Coordinate delivery of technical components including architecture, cyber and security.
• Manage delivery risks, issues and escalations while coaching teams in Agile ways of working.

Job description

Release Train Engineer | Scaled Agile

Lead the planning and delivery of complex ICT projects as a Release Train Engineer, facilitating Scaled Agile delivery, managing ART roadmaps and backlogs, and coordinating technical outcomes across digital and cloud-based solutions.

Location:VIC, NSW
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week in the office, with flexible arrangements for the remaining 2 days
Contract Duration: 12 months with one 12-month extension option
Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain Baseline clearance
Closing Date: Friday, 11 September 2026 at 11:59pm Canberra time

Essential Tasks
