Job summary

MECCA Brands is seeking a Product Compliance & Sustainability Specialist to support the regulatory and sustainability aspects across our growing portfolio of brands.

You will navigate regulatory requirements, review product formulations and claims, and collaborate with teams to ensure compliant, safe, and responsible products for MECCA’s customers in Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in product regulatory compliance (cosmetics, therapeutic goods or related categories).
• Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand regulatory requirements, with international market experience advantageous.
• Experience in an FMCG environment and understanding of new product development lifecycle.
• Exposure to sustainability, responsible sourcing and product/packaging sustainability requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication skills, with ability to manage competing priorities and clearly communicate compliance requirements and risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage product compliance documentation and review formulations, ingredients, artwork, labelling and product claims against regulatory requirements.
• Support international expansion by assessing product compliance and partnering with regulatory experts across markets.
• Coordinate product claims substantiation, testing and certification processes with supporting evidence.
• Monitor regulatory developments and provide guidance to cross-functional teams, identifying compliance risks.
• Support MECCA’s sustainability commitments, including sustainability claims, reporting and responsible sourcing requirements.
