Job summary

Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) in Sydney seeks a Team Leader / Executive Officer on a part-time, job-share arrangement. The role involves high-level oversight of case administration and regulatory management to protect public health, potentially overseeing multiple councils and committees.

The position is a temporary arrangement from 12 October 2026 to 11 April 2027, with a hybrid working environment and a salary of $133,348–$146,945 plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Proven capacity to make appropriate decisions and manage complex programs in a regulatory or other professional environment.
• High level conceptual, problem-solving, planning, and policy development skills plus the capacity to identify and manage emerging and contentious issues to resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise and influential correspondence, build productive stakeholder relationships, and provide authoritative advice in a complex regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee case administration, and strategic and operational management related to health practitioners’ conduct, performance and health.
• Ensure NSW Health Professional Council’s regulatory mandate to protect the public is delivered through efficient management of complaints.
