Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking a Year 2+ Registered Nurse to join our St Francis, Orange aged care team. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will deliver direct clinical nursing care with a person-centred approach to residents and lead a practical care team within a supportive, not-for-profit environment.

You will work Wednesday and Thursday PM and Night duty, have AHPRA registration, AN-ACC understanding, and strong clinical skills, with a focus on safety and quality in aged care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with Year 2+ RN status and current AHPRA registration.
• Understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards.
• Knowledge of AN-ACC assessment processes.
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of aging health issues.
• Coaching/training skills and effective communication.
• Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance.

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at St Francis, Orange you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About The Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar, you must be a Year 2+ RN
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
