Role Description

This part-time on-site role for a Registered Nurse (RN) / Enrolled Nurse (EN) is based at Hamilton Family Practice in Hamilton, VIC. The nurse will provide direct patient care, including triage, wound care, immunizations, and chronic disease management under the direction of the general practitioners. Daily responsibilities include preparing and managing treatment rooms, coordinating patient flow, performing clinical assessments, administering medications in line with practice policies, and documenting care in the clinical information system. The nurse will collaborate with the broader care team to support care plans, health promotion activities, and patient education on disease prevention and self-management. The role also involves maintaining infection prevention standards, assisting with practice recalls and reminders, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) with AHPRA, with eligibility to practice in Victoria.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in primary care settings, including triage, wound management, vaccinations, and chronic disease support.
