Job summary

Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centred, evidence-informed nursing care at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires current AHPRA registration, strong communication, and the ability to work Monday to Friday morning shifts. Experience in operating theatres or anaesthetics is desirable, with opportunities for professional growth within NSW Health.

Qualifications

About the Role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• A current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• An understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
• Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
• The ability to work Monday to Friday morning shifts, with varying start times.
• Experience in Operating Theatres or Anaesthetics is desirable.
• Recent surgical nursing experience in a tertiary referral centre is desirable.
