Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to join our team in Cootamundra. You will conduct assessments, plan and manage nursing care, and support residents with person-centred care in a collaborative environment.

Key requirements include current AHPRA RN registration, at least 1 year in aged care, and knowledge of AN-ACC. Availability for varied shifts and a commitment to quality care are essential.

Qualifications

• RN with current AHPRA registration
• Minimum 1 year experience as an RN in an aged care setting
• Strong commitment to high-quality, person-centred care
• Solid understanding of State and Commonwealth Aged Care legislation
• Availability to work varied shifts (morning, afternoon, night & weekends)
• Working knowledge of AN-ACC, including assessments, documentation, and funding submissions

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, planning and managing nursing care
• Develop and review individualized care plans to meet residents’ changing needs
• Participate in quarterly care plan reviews (or more frequent where required)
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in line with SCC policies and quality standards
• Ensure the completion and accuracy of ACFI claims
• Support best practice clinical care in a collaborative team environment
