Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in NSW is seeking a skilled registered nurse to provide direct clinical care to residents in our aged care home.

Reporting directly to the Care Manager, you will lead the personal care team, supervise care delivery, and ensure adherence to Aged Care Quality Standards and AN-ACC processes.

This on-site role offers flexible PPT shifts, competitive hourly rates ($48.50–$60.30 per hour) plus superannuation, and benefits associated with our not-for-profit organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with AHPRA registration is required.
• Understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards.
• Experience with AN-ACC assessment processes is desirable.
• Strong clinical knowledge of aging processes and care needs.
• Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance.

Reporting directly to the Care Manager, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centered approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About The Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
