Catholic Healthcare Limited in New South Wales is seeking a casual kitchen assistant to provide resident meal service and assist with meal preparation in a compassionate, team-driven dining environment.

You will follow food safety practices, support residents and families, and work within policies to ensure high-quality service while maintaining a safe workplace. NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain is preferred.

About The Role

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you'll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) - desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
